Version 4.0.1 features a hotfix for Apple watches running WatchOS 10.3 – 10.6.1
⌚ Complete rewrite for the Apple version
This version features a complete rewrite of MatchGear for Apple. Enjoy a new and faster UI, with full WatchOS 10 and 11 support.
🎉 New features
- A 40-second penalty corner timer is now implemented for field- and indoor hockey. (#52)
- The suspension duration for a yellow card can now be customized (soccer and korfball) (#61, #63)
- Apple: Integration with Apple Health. MatchGear now automatically tracks your game as a workout with your location on the pitch. You can disable this by disallowing the permission in the app. (#57)
- Apple: on supported devices, users can now use the double-tap gesture to start/stop the time. This is disabled by default, but can be enabled in Settings. (#60)
- Apple: introduced new, stronger vibration patterns to make in-game events more noticeable. (#56)
🪄 Improvements
- During a time-out, the watch will vibrate 15 seconds before the end of the time-out. (#44)
- Android: update the styling to match the new Apple WatchOS version.
- Card suspensions are now not updated anymore when skipping/restarting periods (#62)
- The short-break is now fully ignored when set to 0 as length (field- and indoor hockey) (#65)
- The hour picker is removed to match the MM:SS time format. (#64)
- The team of the player that can return is now included in the card time finished popup (#66)
- Android: the app now correctly continues with the currently active sport when using the double-press shortcut (#14)

- Android: the watch now vibrates again when starting the time (#53)
